Position Description: Start time 5am-7am, 10-12 hr shifts Tuesday - Friday, liquor delivery. Temporary position, could lead to a permanent one. Overview Join our dynamic team as an On-Demand CDL A Local Driver and experience the thrill of delivering essential freight with flexibility and independence! In this role, you will operate a variety of trucks, tractor-trailers to ensure timely and safe deliveries within local routes. Your expertise in driving and load handling will keep operations running smoothly while providing exceptional service to our customers. Duties Safely operate commercial vehicles including manual transmission trucks. Load and unload freight efficiently using forklifts or other equipment when necessary, ensuring cargo integrity and safety. Drive route-specific deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety standards and report any issues promptly. Manage paperwork such as delivery manifests, logs, and inspection reports accurately. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate delivery schedules and handle route adjustments as needed. Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude when interacting with customers during pickups and drop-offs. Requirements Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience operating manual transmission vehicles is preferred. Proven truck driving experience with a focus on local deliveries. Ability to load & unload cargo safely using forklifts or manual methods; experience with freight handling equipment is advantageous. Knowledge of route driving best practices along with the ability to navigate efficiently within local areas. Experience operating various 53' Dry Vans Strong understanding of safety protocols related to commercial driving, load securing, and vehicle maintenance.
