Job Overview The Assistant, Marketplace Onboarding Integration supports sellers and partners in their API integration and overall onboarding for Macy’s online Marketplace. Areas of focus include Macy’s marketplace software connections, new seller account and item setup, and the continual improvement of internal and external API integration processes. This individual leverages their robust analytical skills and deep understanding of Marketplaces to support new and experienced sellers and aggregator platforms working with Macy’s Marketplace. Internally, they work closely with cross-functional partners to identify process improvements and support long-term growth of sellers. Externally, this role collaborates directly with our Marketplace platform provider Mirakl, sellers, and our network of third-party aggregator partners to continuously enhance operations and ensure a best-in-class marketplace experience for sellers and customers. What You Will Do Support the Senior Manager, Marketplace Seller Experience in re-imagining, scaling, and optimizing both the onboarding and post-onboarding seller integration support processes. Collaborate on ad hoc strategic projects aimed at improving item onboarding efficiency. Coordinate and support seller onboardings, from initial registration to go-live, including API integration, product uploads, and corrections, while offering additional tailored solutions as needed. Assist sellers, feed aggregators, and other platforms/connectors in their API integration with our marketplace. Troubleshoot integration issues with seller accounts handed off and team-managed onboarding sellers. Provide internal and external guidance on various viable connectors and integration methods, involving seller's development, commercial, and leadership teams, feed aggregator platforms, and third-party integration companies. Partner with Macy’s Product and Technology Teams, Macy’s Validation Team, and the Mirakl support team to ensure a well-maintained end-to-end connection between multiple platforms. Maintain a map of the broader ecosystem of partners and connectors, along with their specificities, including impacts on Macy’s sellers. Enhance and update our internal onboarding and API integration documentation. Offer high-level integration expertise to Macy’s Marketplace Sales Team during their commercial discussions with new leads. Stay updated on developing platform changes, autonomously learning technical knowledge on API integration with a specific platform (Mirakl). Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities. In addition to the essential duties mentioned above, other duties may be assigned. Skills You Will Need Digital Commerce Knowledge : Demonstrated understanding of digital commerce and marketplace platforms, with previous experience in growing an online marketplace considered advantageous. API Integration Support : Experience supporting API integrations, familiarity with tools like Postman, and proficiency in writing JSON/XML. Platform Familiarity : Knowledge and experience with marketplace platforms such as Mirakl, Shopify, Magento, and feed aggregators are beneficial. Problem-Solving : Ability to work independently, exhibit perseverance in overcoming obstacles, and collaborate effectively with internal and external teams to resolve technical issues. Analytical Skills : Excellent analytical and project management capabilities with a sense of urgency to support the growth of an emerging business. Communication Skills : Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of effectively conveying technical information and solutions to various stakeholders. Project Management : Proven success in managing projects to improve business operations and drive performance, with a customer-centric mindset and experience in cross-functional collaboration.
