Online Chaperone for Underage Purchaser (Part-Time Position)

The goal of the program is to ensure that tobacco retailers comply with Federal laws and regulations that prevent them from selling tobacco products to minors.Position Summary:The FDA Center for Tobacco Products requires the assistance of Underage Purchasers ages 16 - 20 to attempt the purchase of tobacco products from local tobacco retailers.The goal of the program is to ensure that tobacco retailers comply with Federal laws and regulations that prevent them from selling tobacco products to minors.To ensure the safety of the Underage Purchaser, we are seeking Chaperones who will be responsible for driving the Underage Purchaser (minor) to and from the designated locations to carry out the requirements program.The Chaperone must also provide a summary report (provided by the Project Manager) of the completed purchases to the Project Manager.The date of the inspections is May 19th, 2026 - May 21st, 2026.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Chaperones will participate in a short training course on the project Chaperones will transport Underage Purchasers to and from the store locations up to a 60-mile radius Chaperones will be responsible for the Underage Purchasers' safety and behavior during an investigation day Chaperones are required to fill out a short report and provide it to the Project Manager Skills and Abilities Required: Must be a mature individual over 21 years of age with a strong work ethic Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills Must be able to successfully complete a short training class Must be flexible to coordinate dates and times for assignments Must have access to email, internet, phone, and reliable transportation Must have access to a computer with camera for the interview Minimum Requirements: High School diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred Prior experience in law enforcement, military or security guard duty preferred Must be a person who does not use tobacco products Must provide a car photo Must not have any prior law enforcement convictions Must have and maintain a valid driver license and a clean driving record Must have and maintain current automobile liability insurance Job Type:Part-time Pay:Up to $19.79 per hour Work Location:In person.
