Onsite Construction Safety Representative (CSR)

Are you a certified construction safety professional who takes pride in running a tight, compliant, and hazard-free jobsite? We are seeking a highly qualified, full-time Construction Safety Representative (CSR) for a public works campus infrastructure project in Los Angeles County.This is a dedicated onsite role.The CSR must be physically present whenever construction activities are underway.What You'll Do Enforce Cal/OSHA, Federal OSHA, and OCIP safety requirements Implement and manage the site-specific Project Health, Safety & Environmental Plan (PHSEP) Lead daily Task Hazard Analysis (THA) meetings Conduct and document routine safety inspections Identify hazards and ensure immediate corrective action Investigate incidents and near misses Monitor and enforce subcontractor safety compliance Ensure NFPA 241 fire prevention compliance Maintain complete safety documentation and reporting Coordinate directly with the College Project Team and Regional Safety Manager What We're Looking For CHST (BCSP) or CSM-C (NASP) certification - required Minimum 5 years of recent construction safety experience Public works, campus, heavy civil, or infrastructure experience preferred Current First Aid certification (OSHA-recognized provider) Current CPR certification (OSHA-recognized provider) Strong working knowledge of:Excavation and underground utilities Fall protection Confined space entry Job Hazard Analysis (JHA/THA) Injury & Illness Prevention Programs (IIPP) Additional Requirements EMR.
