Job Summary: We are looking for a highly motivated and creative Social Media Intern with a passion for health and fitness to join our team. In this role, you will gain valuable experience in managing and executing social media strategies while also performing basic reception duties. You’ll be the first point of contact for athletes and potential clients, assisting with check-ins, greeting athletes for their classes, and providing light sales support. Additionally, you will be responsible for capturing photos and videos during classes for content creation. This is a paid internship that offers hands-on experience in both social media marketing and customer interaction. Onsite Schedule: (This position does not include remote work) Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–8:00 PM Responsibilities: Greet athletes and check them in for their classes. Capture photos and videos during classes to create engaging content for social media. Assist potential clients interested in taking a trial class by explaining our programs and reviewing necessary forms and waivers. Assist in creating and scheduling engaging content for social media platforms. Monitor and respond to comments and messages on social media channels. Conduct research on industry trends and competitor activities. Communicate with the team regarding deadlines and tasks that have been delegated to you. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement social media campaigns. Assist in creating graphics and visual content using graphic design tools such as Adobe Illustrator or Canva. Proofread and edit social media posts for accuracy and clarity. Optimize social media posts for SEO purposes. Help manage social media advertising campaigns on platforms like Meta Facebook and Instagram. Conduct web research on relevant topics for content creation. Support e-commerce initiatives by promoting products or services on social media. Qualifications: Passion for health, fitness, and working with youth athletes. Positive demeanor and the ability to build rapport with athletes, especially youth. Previous experience as an athlete is a plus. Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Proficient in using Canva or other graphic design software. Familiarity with social media platforms and their best practices. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented with excellent proofreading skills. Basic understanding of SEO principles. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
