Job Title: Open Rank Clinical Faculty in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Location: Augusta University Regular/Temporary: Regular Full/Part Time: Full-Time Job ID: 289230 Job Summary Job ID 289230 Position# 40054643 The Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University is seeking a faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor to serve as a full-time fellowship trained, board-certified (or board eligible) Reproductive Endocrinologist and Infertility Specialist who is passionate about providing patient centered care as they help patients become successful in their family-building journey through expert care, compassion, knowledge and understanding. This is a full-time, non-tenure track position. Responsibilities Clinical Duties - 90% Conducting patient assessments and consultations for new and existing patients. Determine the appropriate testing and diagnostic procedures to identify potential cause of infertility. Treat women with benign and malignant gynecologic disorders, including infertility and endometriosis. Review and discuss test results with patients. Advise patients on the best treatment options based on their individual needs. Work with patients to educate them on the treatment options. Create customized treatment plans for patients to maximize their pregnancy rates. Perform surgical procedures, physical exams, pelvic exams, ultrasounds, and other tests to diagnose disorders. Prescribe any medications as needed. Perform surgical procedures and in-vitro fertilization procedures (egg retrievals, embryo transfers, etc.) while maintaining the highest success rates. Resident Education - 5% Education and supervision of Fellows, Residents, and students is included when in ambulatory setting and surgery. Departmental Research - 5% Conduct departmental research in the span of basic science, translational, clinical, and/or epidemiological domains Required Qualifications Doctor of Medicine (MD)/Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Completed OBGYN Residency Have/will complete Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Board Eligible/Board Certified Assistant Professor- Early level career as a faculty member with appropriate post graduate training Associate Professor- Mid level career faculty member with at least five years at rank of Assistant Professor or comparable training, background, and experience. Professor- Senior level career faculty member with at least five years at the rank of Associate Professor or comparable training, background, and experience. Required faculty employment qualifications for all USG institutions and all academic ranks within these institutions shall be: Consistent with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC)¿s requirements for institutional accreditation; Evidence of ability as a teacher; Evidence of activity as a scholar and ability in all other duties assigned; Successful experience (which will necessarily be waived for those just entering the academic profession who meet all other requirements); and, Desirable personal qualities judged on the basis of personal interview, complete biographical data, and recommendations. Shift/Salary/Benefits This position is fiscal year based and works year-round. The intended work commitment or full-time equivalent (FTE) for this position is 1.0 and considered full-time. Assistant Professor- Salary and compensation is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements. The salary is subject to availability of funds.
