Operating Room Technician

License/Certification Minimum Required: High School diploma or equivalent Preferred: Previous Operating Room experience Previous Surgical Technologist experience Minimum Required: Meets the NYS Surgical Technologist Certification Law; OR Completed a Surgical Technologist program in the Armed Forces; OR Completed a nationally accredited educational program for Surgical Technologist with a nationally accredited Surgical Technologist credential CPR Certification within 3 months of hire A Regional Health System United Health Services Hospitals is a family of health services organizations that exists to improve the health of the communities we serve by developing and maintaining a comprehensive and cost‐effective health care system. Work Environment Work is performed in an office environment that requires working in proximity to other employees and patients. The office is air conditioned as well as heated. Exposure to equipment cleaning solutions and disinfectants. Fast‐paced environment including frequent interruptions. PPE‐ Eyewear, Masks, Face shields, Shoe covers, Gloves per UHS Infection Control and CDC guidelines when appropriate.
