Company Overview: A leading investment management firm is seeking an Operations Associate specializing in asset-backed securities (ABS) to join their New York office. The role involves supporting the trading needs of the ABS portfolio manager and managing the front-to-back support of an ABS's life cycle. Job Responsibilities: Actively support a portfolio of asset-backed securities, including various collateral types. Perform daily and monthly position and PnL reconciliation, resolving any differences with the administrator. Process month-end reconciliation tasks such as factor updates and interest distributions. Assist in portfolio valuation and manage requests to pricing counterparties and vendors. Collaborate on marketplace and reperforming loans securitizations, providing reporting support. Handle trade affirmation, confirmation, and settlement processes. Manage relationships and communication with internal teams and external parties. Facilitate treasury and cash management tasks, including external cash movements and wire submissions. Participate in special projects and strategic initiatives, focusing on process and system improvements. Qualifications: Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Exposure to or direct knowledge of Intex, Bloomberg, and trustee websites. General knowledge of structured credit asset classes such as ABS, RMBS, CMBS, and CLOs. 3-4+ years of middle/back-office experience, preferably within a buy-side fund.
