Job Summary Hilltopper Refuse & Recycling has proudly served the La Crosse region since 1984.As a locally owned and family-operated company, we take pride in delivering dependable waste and recycling services to our communities.We are currently seeking a reliable, hands-on Operations Associate to support our summer operations and special events.This is an outdoor, physically active role for someone who enjoys working with their hands, staying organized, and being part of a hardworking team.This role requires physical strength, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently while representing Hilltopper professionally in the field.Key Responsibilities Organize, inventory, and stage dumpsters, carts, and recycling equipment for deployment Load and unload company trucks and trailers safely and efficiently Deliver and remove containers and equipment for customers and community events Perform pre-event setup and post-event teardown of waste and recycling stations Wash and maintain dumpsters, carts, and related equipment to company standards Maintain organization and cleanliness of yard, storage areas, and equipment lots Serve as a helper on collection routes when assigned Track field data to support operational reporting and project financials Operate company pickup trucks, trailers, and other non-CDL equipment as needed Perform minor on- and off-site equipment repairs, including swapping and replacing dumpster lids, replacing wheels, installing locks/lock bars, and making minor hardware adjustments using hand and basic power tools Other duties as assigned Qualifications & Requirements Valid Class D driver's license Must pass company auto insurance background check Ability to frequently lift in excess of 75 lbs Ability to safely back up and maneuver trailers Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated Flexible availability required:Set work days:Tuesday & Thursday -- Additional weekday availability with advance notice Working Environment Primarily outdoor work in various weather conditions (90-95% field based) Physically demanding, hands-on labor position Pay:$20.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours:20.0 - 40.0 per week Application Question(s):Do you have a valid Class D Drivers License?
