Description Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin is the leading local hunger-relief organization in the state with locations in Milwaukee and Appleton. JOB PURPOSE This position requires a working knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory controls. The Operations Coordinator is responsible for planning and coordinating work activities related to receiving, order fulfillment deadlines, inventory accuracy, quality assurance, and warehouse best practices. This role supports inventory management efforts by ensuring FIFO standards, product rotation, shrink and disposal processes, and scheduled cycle counts are maintained. The Operations Coordinator will support the creation, execution, and continuous improvement of operational processes to help drive efficiency within the operations department. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure all safety, quality, and warehouse policies are followed. Coordinate and provide hands-on warehouse support for special programs and projects. Coordinate daily tasks with the warehouse team and ensure accurate inventory of incoming/outgoing product. Meet order picking deadlines to deliver orders On Time and In Full. Assist in setting goals for the team’s daily workload. Assist with order picking and other hands-on warehouse operations during periods of high-volume demand, urgent shipments, staffing shortages, or workflow bottlenecks to help maintain operational efficiency and on-time fulfillment. Ensure FIFO and good inventory practices are maintained. Maintain warehouse areas in AIB compliance (pest control, housekeeping, logs, etc.). Process orders and audit variances. Develop and maintain strong working knowledge of warehouse computer and database systems (Primarius) and serve as a resource to staff as needed. Log received inventory and ensure product numbers match product type and description. Monitor and follow up on variances in inventory. Review reports and database for trends in on-hand inventory. Work with team to help define and provide details about product attributes and aging categorically. Monitor and follow up on inventory states to ensure product becomes available or disposed of in real time. Coordinate inventory allocation, storage and transfers between internal programs, warehouses, and external partners. Collaborate with internal departments to support operational needs, product flow, and inventory accuracy across programs and distribution channels. Participate in onboarding and training staff and volunteers on warehouse best practices. Ensure all products are labeled, dated, and inventoried correctly. Ensure SOPs are being followed for receiving, fulfillment, and inventory management. Support daily warehouse operations related to fulfillment, receiving, inventory management, warehouse cleanliness, and facility organization. In the absence of the Operations Manager, the Operations Coordinator will provide operational support and assist in coordinating day-to-day warehouse activities with staff to help maintain workflow and operational efficiency. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Associate’s degree from an accredited college preferred or 2-3 years of supply chain/warehouse operation experience. Forklift/power equipment certification required or ability to become certified within two weeks of hire.
