Job Description
Operations & Field Coordinator That 1 Painter – Twin Cities $20–$25/hour 20–30+ hours/week Hybrid: Field + Remote About That 1 Painter Twin Cities That 1 Painter Twin Cities is a growing residential and commercial painting company built on a simple belief: be the best house guests our customers have ever had. We show up on time, protect homes, do exceptional work, and leave every job site cleaner than we found it. We're a locally owned franchise with a tight-knit team, high standards, and big goals for the Twin Cities market. We're growing fast — and we're building the team to match. Why We’re Hiring Our Regional Director leads the entire Twin Cities operation — sales support, team development, production, customer experience, and commercial work. She’s excellent at what she does, and we want to keep her that way. To do that, we need a dedicated right hand who can own the day-to-day operational and commercial coordination that currently sits on her plate. This role exists to make the whole team more effective — by absorbing reactive daily work, owning commercial project coordination, and keeping operations running smoothly so our leadership can stay focused on growth. What This Role Actually Looks Like This is a field-first role with a coordination backbone. Some days you’re visiting job sites, checking in with crews, and solving problems in real time. Other days you’re at home managing commercial project communication, coordinating schedules, or handling administrative follow-through. You need to be comfortable in both environments and genuinely thrive when things are moving fast and no two days look the same. This is not a sit-at-a-desk-and-wait role. We need someone who sees what needs to happen — and makes it happen. What You’ll OwnDaily Operations & Fire Response Monitor and respond to incoming customer and team needs throughout the day — this is one of the most important parts of the role. Be the first line of response for operational issues, job site problems, scheduling conflicts, and anything that needs to be handled quickly. Help triage what needs the Regional Director’s attention versus what you can resolve independently. Coordinate crews for upcoming jobs — communicate schedules, confirm job details, and keep things moving. Commercial Project Coordination Own the day-to-day management of active commercial jobs — client communication, status updates, timeline tracking, and crew coordination. Check in regularly with commercial contacts and the internal team to ensure projects are on track. Assist with sending invoices for completed commercial work and following up on outstanding payments or unpaid deposits. Support bid requests and referral partner opportunities as they come in — gather information, help qualify, and loop in the right people. Maintain communication with paint reps for material needs and project-related coordination. Residential Production Support Support active residential jobs alongside the Regional Director — helping manage production flow, customer communication, and any issues that arise mid-project. Coordinate warranty work requests — schedule crews, communicate with customers, and ensure resolution. Assist with job costing data entry and end-of-month job cost review support. Hiring & Team Support Conduct initial painter interviews, collect onboarding paperwork, and keep the hiring pipeline organized. Help coordinate content filming and marketing needs in the field — connecting with crews and projects to capture photos, videos, and content assets as needed. Support lead disposition tracking and scoreboard inputs as needed. Networking & Partner Support Attend select networking events, referral partner check-ins, or partner meetings when the Regional Director needs representation or coverage. Help coordinate scheduling and logistics for networking opportunities and external meetings. What We’re Looking For Highly organized, proactive, and self-directed — you manage your own day and don’t need to be micromanaged. A strong communicator, equally comfortable on a job site talking to a crew lead and on email coordinating with a commercial client. Someone who stays calm when things get hectic — this role will have fires to put out, and we need a problem-solver, not a panicker. Comfortable in the field — driving to job sites, walking properties, and showing up professionally as a face of the brand. Tech-comfortable — able to work in CRM tools, Google Workspace, scheduling platforms, and messaging apps. Previous experience in operations, field coordination, construction, home se
