Position Title: Director of Operations The Director of Operations will play a pivotal role in partnering with the CEO to enhance organizational efficiency within a home automation company. This position requires a strategic leader capable of driving operational excellence while managing a diverse range of responsibilities. The ideal candidate will navigate the complexities of the industry, ensuring that the team remains focused on delivering high-quality service to clients. This role presents opportunities for growth, including the potential to advance to a Chief Operating Officer position. The challenges include breaking existing habits within the team and establishing effective systems to streamline operations. The Director will be instrumental in shaping the company's future and fostering a culture of innovation and customer service excellence. Salary Range: $140,000 - $160,000 / Year DOE Director Of Operations Responsibilities Ensure that team members are engaged in billable hours Coordinate parts delivery to technicians and maintain schedules Oversee inventory management and establish an efficient inventory system Manage team morale and conduct regular check-ins Utilize network management software to ensure proper installations Supervise technicians and ensure timely attendance at client locations Facilitate hiring, coaching, and performance management Monitor and prioritize client issues and manage maintenance schedules for company vehicles Communicate effectively with clients and homeowners as necessary Collaborate with partners to ensure successful project execution Recruit and onboard new team members Director Of Operations Requirements 10 years of experience in home automation, including installation and maintenance 2+ years of operational or leadership experience in a service business General construction knowledge, including the ability to read ceiling plans Ability to communicate effectively with construction trades for installation purposes Experience with network management systems such as Cisco Meraki Proficient in automation software, including Crestron and Control4 Strong capability to drive efficiency in sales, costs, supplies, and operations Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle Bachelor's degree is preferred Background in the automation industry is preferred Experience in the construction industry is preferred Previous ownership of a home automation business is preferred Benefits Potential for ownership or equity opportunities Company-sponsored 401k plan to be established by the Director Company phone or stipend of up to $100 per month Company laptop provided Comprehensive medical benefits with 100% coverage after six months 22 days of vacation, sick, and personal days combined If you are a Director of Operations looking to take the next step in your career, apply now!
