Reports To: VP/Director of Business Strategy Positions Include: Business Operations, Procurement, Logistics, Warehousing Managers Position Summary: This senior management position will have responsibility for overseeing facility and supply chain operations (i.e. procurement, logistics, transportation, warehousing, planning and scheduling, and inventory control). This individual will: Be responsible for day-to-day operations and management of all employees working at the facility in New Castle, PA. Be responsible for the development of employees and communication of the supply chain to drive high customer service while optimizing inventory levels. Assist the Business Manager to oversee the supply chain budget and operating performance, along with key service, quality and cost metrics, and focus on continuous improvement programs. Provide strategic cross-functional collaboration with upper management to ensure team alignment and execute strategic planning initiatives. Be highly “process driven” to continuously improve the supply chain process and manage complex customer needs. Benchmark and work to understand similar environments to implement best practices to continue to transform a world-class enterprise. Duties And Responsibilities Key supply chain functions include: Procurement Oversee, manage, and assist with procurement requirements – review incoming requirements, assess and balance the workload of each of the Procurement Specialist and assist with procurement actions to ensure all required products and materials needed are available at the most cost-effective price to meet customer demand, quality standards, and timelines. Help develop and maintain excellent relationships with vendors/suppliers and customers. Maintains procurement records utilizing QuickBooks as a resource. Track and report metrics to reduce expenses and/or improve procurement effectiveness. Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned. Logistics/Warehousing Oversee Warehouse operations – balance workloads in the warehouse as required and understand the current receiving, inventorying, and/or shipping duties and timelines and improve as needed. Oversees Logistics, which manages the flow of goods between the point of origin and the point of consumption in the most efficient and cost-effective manner to meet the requirements of customers. Facility Operations Oversee a small fully operating logistics facility. Coordinate with the Facility Specialist and Business Manager in maintaining a smooth functioning facility. Oversee Inventory Control, which will focus on improving our cash position by efficiently managing inventory, while still maintaining our high standards of customer service. Ensure every step of the process is functioning effectively to avoid costly delays and lost sales opportunities. Preferred master’s degree in business, finance, or supply chain management. Must be able to obtain and maintain a USG Secret clearance, Top Secret is preferred. Prior experience in USG/acquisition/management (civilian, military, or contractor) is highly desirable. Minimum of 15 years of broad-based supply chain/project management experience. This individual must have experience leading various aspects throughout the supply chain. He/She should be highly “process-driven” and understand general best practices in similar environments and have worked in a diverse, high-volume product environment.
