Job Description
Job Duties/Scope Of Work This position provides operations support under the Hanford Mission Essential Services Contract. Responsibilities typically include but are not limited to operational support for personnel radiation dose measurements at the In Vivo Radiobioassay and Research Facility. Essential Job Duties Include But Are Not Limited To Interacting with counting subjects and gathering data related to internal dose measurements. Performing quality control counts including positioning of the radioactive sources. Conducting quality control analysis and writing reports identifying issues, problems, or trends; publishing the reports at appropriate frequency as monthly, quarterly, or annually. Performing BOMAB counts at the in-vivo facility. Performing facility start up and/or shutdown. Performing initial review of count data. May develop or assist development of formal presentations. Assisting with engineering studies to evaluate options for resolution of issues with counting systems, external dosimeter readers, and their associated computer software. Operating external dosimeter readers and supercooled detectors for internal and external dose measurements, analyzing the results for quality control and analysis for personnel dose measurements. Interacting with vendor technical representatives for repairs and upgrades conducted by subcontract agreements. Implementing complete preventative maintenance procedures, checklists, and equipment standards for equipment and systems. Implementing preventive/predictive maintenance programs including schedules and procedures to maintain counter availability and reliability. Preparing repair procedures, engineering change notices, and engineering data transmittal as required. Conducting reviews and analysis of basic systems/components. Participating in planning and conducting equipment/systems tests. Participating on Design Review Teams, Startup Readiness Review Teams, assessment teams, as well as interaction with the accreditation body, DOELAP, for external and internal dose measurement program accreditation performance reviews. Maintaining knowledge of safety policies and procedures and performing assigned duties in a safe manner Basic Qualifications BA/BS degree plus 3 years of related experience -or- an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
