JOB TITLE: Operations Technician Tier 1 EMPLOYER: U.S. Electrodynamics, Inc DEPARTMENT: Operations LOCATION: Vernon Valley, NJ REPORTS TO: Operations Manager APPLICATION CLOSE DATE: 5/15/2026 Preferred Start Date: We anticipate filling this position no sooner than 5/15/2026 and no later than 6/30/2026 DO WORK THAT MATTERS TO YOU USEI works with some of the world’s largest and most dynamic private, commercial and government organizations providing satellite teleport services including TT&C, broadcast video, aviation and Internet services delivery. We are currently hiring for an Operations Technician Tier I (Vernon, NJ) US Electrodynamics, Inc. (USEI) is a privately owned communications company using a combination of satellite and terrestrial infrastructures to deliver flexible solutions for the video, voice, data, and internet service needs for all commercial and government customer applications. RESPONSIBILITIES Earth station antenna control Satellite access for occasional and full-time services Video/audio content delivery for occasional and full-time service customers. Installation, configuration, activation, testing, monitoring and troubleshooting of satellite services and their subsequent equipment Monitoring of essential infrastructure systems (i.e. UPS, Generators, Switch Gear). Have a complete understanding of the escalation/ reporting process when an issue is observed Installation, configuration, activation, testing, monitoring and troubleshooting of terrestrial network services Operation of test measurement and diagnostic equipment to analyze, troubleshoot, and baseline document satellite and terrestrial network services Perform technical measurements and evaluations as necessary (RF, EIRP, C/N, etc.) Perform basic preventative/periodic maintenance checks of ground station equipment and associated sub-system Conduct/provide support to customer service-related issues and troubleshooting Conduct/provide basic components of emergency restoral procedures for ground station equipment REQUIREMENTS Minimum two years of experience in satellite communications and customer service, and/or equivalent technical training preferred Minimum high school diploma Technical training in electronics and related communications Ability to grasp and learn new technologies and services Fluent in English, spoken and written is required General PC skills and the ability to proficiently use "MS Office Suite" software Flexibility, reliability and readiness to work both independently and in a team environment without direct supervision Requires US citizenship or Permanent Residency Provide support to Network, RF engineering, and Maintenance teams as needed Maintain documentation, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and accurate PHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS Must have good language, communications, mathematical and reasoning abilities Maintain documentation, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and accurate Requires 12-hour shift coverage to provide 24x7x365 coverage including Holidays-working rotating shift schedule Ability to work in elevated positions Able to lift/carry up to 51 lbs If you are ready to take your career to the next level and be part of an innovative team, apply now!
