About the Position Triangle Ophthalmology is a small, physician-owned practice focused on high-quality, medically oriented eye care.We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented team member to join our small but mighty team.This is a hybrid role with a clear growth path:You will be trained to assist with patient care in the clinic (technician role) You will also provide front desk coverage at the end of the day, including patient check-out and scheduling This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both direct patient interaction and hands-on clinical work, and who wants to grow into a more advanced role over time.Daily Workflow Early afternoon:Assist in the clinic with patient workups and flow Late afternoon:Transition to front desk responsibilities, including check-out and end-of-day coordination ResponsibilitiesClinical (Primary Role) Assist with patient intake and preliminary workups (training provided) Measure vision and prepare patients for the physician Support clinic flow, rooming, and patient movement Learn and assist with diagnostic testing over time Front Desk (End-of-Day Coverage) Check patients in and out Collect copays and outstanding balances Clearly communicate charges and next steps with patients Schedule follow-up appointments Help ensure a smooth and accurate end-of-day process What We're Looking For We are specifically seeking someone who is:Comfortable discussing payments and financial responsibilities with patients Dependable and consistent -- our workflow depends on each team member Interested in learning clinical skills and growing in a medical setting Able to transition between clinical and administrative roles Calm, organized, and professional in a fast-paced environment This Role Is a Great Fit If You:Enjoy being an important member of a small, collaborative team Like both people-facing work and hands-on clinical tasks Are looking for a position with long-term growth into a clinical role Take pride in being reliable--your role directly impacts the day-to-day success of the practice Experience Prior medical office, dental office, or customer-facing experience preferred Ophthalmology or optometry experience is a plus, but not required We will train the right candidate with strong work ethic and communication skills Schedule & Compensation Monday-Friday, approximately 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM Competitive hourly pay based on experience Opportunity for expanded hours and full-time role as the practice grows Why This Position Is Different Small, physician-led practice--not a large corporate setting Focus on comprehensive medical eye care, not just routine vision services Opportunity to develop real clinical skills Each team member plays an essential role in daily operations Pay:$17.00 - $22.00 per hour Work Location:In person.
