Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with intake procedures to ensure smooth clinic flow Duties include checking visual acuity to support accurate diagnoses Prepare patients for examinations by performing initial assessments and explaining procedures clearly Assist ophthalmologists during exams and procedures using aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment Operate optical equipment and assist with testing to evaluate visual function and ocular health including OCT, Photos, AR, virtual visual field. Maintain accurate medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like NextGen, ensuring HIPAA compliance at all times Uphold high standards of patient care through attentive service, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout visits Manage medical records diligently, ensuring confidentiality and proper documentation of all clinical activities Experience Prior experience in ophthalmology or optometry clinics is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with clinical workflows and patient interactions Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology related to eye health, and ophthalmic procedures Experience with EMR systems such as NextGen or similar platforms for documentation and scheduling Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients.
