Job Title: OPS Service Technician Location: Tallahassee, FL Regular/Temporary: Temporary Full/Part Time Job ID: 62606 Department Learn about our departments: Information Technology Services (ITS) Responsibilities Providing excellent, responsive service to our college customers (faculty, staff and students) when they contact our office (walk in or call in); Handle simple technical issues; Assist more senior teammates with various projects, including personal computer and classroom technology support. Qualifications A high school diploma or equivalency and some experience with customer service roles and supporting personal computers. Preferred Qualifications Good basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office. Commitment to providing excellent customer service. Good communications skills and prepared to work well in a team-oriented environment. Other Information Who is an ideal candidate for this position? Students looking for real-world experience in an IT support environment. What is a typical day in this position? A typical day is spent mostly at our front desk, responding to customers who walk in or call on the phone. There are computer lab checks to perform on most shifts. Occasionally, there are items to deliver or pick up, or inventory canvassing, or other special projects to participate in. Standard weekly hours: up to 20 hours, typically 5-18 hours Based on the duties, this position may require completion of a criminal history background check.
