We are looking for a friendly optician to undertake all optical duties at Spectacular EyeCare.This position is not required to be licensed, but NEEDS OPTICAL SKILLS.Responsibility for Optician include:Keep work area tidy and presentable at sale table Able to speak clearly to patients / explain what products we sell Answer questions and address complaints from patients Able to speak with company reps about inventory Receive letters, packages etc.Matching up inventory / Complete credits Schedule patients, and manage daily schedule Able to brainstorm, attend meetings Organize frame boards Claim insurances, pull insurances Keeping lab & office clean and tidy Measuring patients for glasses Measuring patients for PD & Seg HT Able to adjust glasses Able to take a contact lens order Able to know how to work with EyeMed, VSP, Avesis, Spectera, and UHC Able to claim insurances with your orders Able to explain, solve, and help patients with glasses & contact orders Able to understand and work with a computer basic knowledge needed Using optical tools provided to complete a order Requirements for optician include:Excellent knowledge of computers Sale skills Strong communication and people skills Able to make invoices and taking payments Good organizational and multitasking abilities Knowledge of Vision insurances Problem-solving skills Answering phones Customer service orientation Ordering frames, lenses, and contacts High School diploma Able to teach patients how to put on contacts Able to work as a team Must be on time Able to work our office hours Bilingual is a plus not a must!
