Optical Master is a very well established optical/optometrist office.We have been family owned since 1989.We are looking to add an experienced optician to our wonderful team.We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Optician to join our team.The ideal candidate will assist patients in selecting eyewear, perform precise measurements, and ensure proper fitting and adjustment of glasses and contact lenses.This role combines technical expertise with strong customer service and administrative sills.Key Responsibilities:Customer Service & Sales Assist clients in selecting frames and lens options (e.g., progressive lenses, anti0reflective coatings) based on lifestyle, prescription, and facial features.Provide styling guidance and educate patients on lens products and upgrades.Technical Fitting & Measurements Accurately take measurements including pupillary distance (PD) and segment height using manual or computerized tools.Interpret prescriptions and ensure precise order specifications.Dispensing & Adjustments Fit, adjust, and repair eyeglasses for comfort and proper alignment.Ensure patients are satisfied with fit and vision clarity.Lens Fabrication & Ordering Prepare and submit detailed work orders to ophthalmic laboratories Cut and mount lenses in-house when applicable.Contact Lens Support Assist with contact lens selection.Educate patients on proper insertion, removal, and maintenance.Administrative Duties Update and maintain accurate patient records.Process insurance billing and patient payments.Required Skills & Qualifications:Bilingual:Fluent in Spanish and English (required) Education:High school diploma or equivalent required Certification:ABO Certification preferred.Technical Skills:Proficiency with optical tools such as lens-meters and pupillometers.Ability to educate patients and provide professional styling advice.Attention to Detail:High accuracy in reading prescriptions and performing measurements.If you are looking for a delightful drug free work environment and great compensation, Optical Masters is the place for you!
