This is not a passive retail role. At Premier Eye Associates, our optical team does more than “sell glasses.” We guide patients through important eyewear decisions, explain their options clearly, and help them feel confident in choosing what is best for their vision, lifestyle, and budget. Product knowledge can be trained, but confidence, energy, communication, and presence are essential. About the Role As an Optical Sales Associate / Optician, you will help patients select eyewear, understand lens options, review insurance benefits, and make confident purchasing decisions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with people, leading conversations, and working in a fast-paced, service-focused environment. Responsibilities You will Guide patients in selecting eyewear that fits their needs, lifestyle, and style Educate patients on lens options and make clear recommendations Present pricing, insurance benefits, and upgrade options confidently Dispense, adjust, and troubleshoot glasses with care Maintain optical displays, frame boards, and inventory Support patient flow and contribute to an excellent office experience Stay engaged, positive, and attentive during busy days Qualifications Experience in optical sales, opticianry, retail sales, customer service, or healthcare is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. The ideal candidate will have: Strong communication skills and confidence leading conversations Comfort discussing pricing, value, insurance benefits, and recommendations A warm, professional, and engaging presence The ability to build trust quickly with patients Strong attention to detail A proactive, team-first mindset The ability to accept coaching and improve quickly Sales or service experience involving product or service recommendations You may be a great fit if You naturally guide conversations, enjoy helping people make decisions, explain value comfortably, stay energized during busy days, and take ownership of your results.
