Job Overview:The Optometric Technician plays a vital role in supporting the doctor and ensuring a smooth patient experience from check-in to check-out.This position requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and confidence in working with both medical and vision insurance.Duties:Perform full patient workups including:Visual acuity Auto-refraction Lensometry Confrontation fields Color vision testing Icare tonometry Assist with advanced testing including:OCT Visual Fields Optos imaging Topography Take thorough medical histories and accurately document findings in EHR Prepare patients for examination and assist the doctor during procedures Provide contact lens training and education Order and manage contact lens inventory Administrative & Front Desk Support:Verify and explain vision and medical insurance benefits Collect copays and balances Check patients in and out Confirm appointments and manage scheduling Assist with patient phone calls and contact lens inquiries Maintain accurate and timely chart documentation Requirements 1year of experience in optometry or ophthalmology preferred Experience with EHR systems (RevolutionEHR experience is a plus) Working knowledge of vision and medical insurance verification Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Highly organized with strong attention to detail Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude What We Offer:Competitive hourly pay Performance-based bonus opportunities 401(k) with matching Paid Time Off & Paid Holidays Employee eyewear discounts Professional development opportunities Uniform allowance Vision benefits Job Type:Full-time Pay:$26,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year Benefits:401(k) 401(k) matching Employee discount Paid time off Vision insurance Application Question(s):When do you plan on going back to school?
