Role Summary We are looking for an Oracle PL/SQL Developer to design, build, and maintain the database layer of a mission-critical application running on an ASP.NET Core Blazor front-end hosted in Microsoft Azure. This is a hands-on development role — you will own PL/SQL code quality, performance, and reliability in a collaborative DoD environment. What You’ll Do Design, develop, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, cursors, and complex queries Optimize SQL and PL/SQL code for performance, scalability, and reliability using execution plans and indexing strategies Develop and maintain database objects including indexes, views, and data models Translate business requirements into efficient, well-documented database solutions Support data migrations, data validation, and database deployments Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to database performance and data integrity Ensure database code follows security guidelines and organizational standards Collaborate with application developers, business analysts, and QA teams throughout the development lifecycle Maintain documentation for database designs and application processes What We’re Looking For Strong hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL development — packages, procedures, functions, and triggers Solid understanding of performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing Experience with data modeling and database design Familiarity with ETL processes and working with large data volumes Experience with version control (Git preferred) Comfortable working in both Agile and Waterfall environments Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience Nice to Have Experience with Oracle 19c or later (21c a plus) Familiarity with Azure cloud environments Prior work in DoD or Federal agency programs Requirements US citizenship required Hybrid schedule: 1–2 days per week on-site at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, OH Must be able to pass a background check covering education and experience Candidates should be available for a phone, video, or in-person interview as requested
