We’re looking for an exceptional Oral Surgery Dental Assistant to join our growing specialty practice! At Sacramento Valley Dental Specialists, we’re passionate about delivering outstanding patient care while creating an environment where our team members can grow, thrive, and truly enjoy coming to work. This position will split time between our two offices (Elk Grove on Laguna Springs Blvd & Sacramento on Fair Oaks Blvd/Howe Ave) as needed and will work Monday through Friday with required 2 Saturdays a month (maximum & day off during the week). This role is perfect for someone who is organized, compassionate, clinically confident, and energized by a fast-paced surgical setting . What You’ll Do: ✨ Assist the oral surgeon during procedures including extractions, implants, bone grafting, sedation, and surgical treatments ✨ Prepare and break down surgical rooms while maintaining exceptional sterilization and infection control standards ✨ Monitor and support patients before, during, and after treatment with empathy and professionalism ✨ Take digital radiographs and CBCT scans ✨ Review post-op instructions and help patients feel comfortable and informed ✨ Manage instruments, supplies, and clinical flow to help keep the day running smoothly ✨ Collaborate closely with an amazing clinical and administrative team What We’re Looking For: ✔ Oral surgery dental assisting experience required (1+ years) ✔ OMSA certification preferred, but certification reimbursement available for the right fit) ✔ X-ray certification required ✔ Knowledge of 4 handed dentistry ✔ Strong multitasking skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment ✔ Calm under pressure with excellent patient care skills ✔ Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-first mindset Why You’ll Love Working With Us: Supportive, positive team culture Opportunity to learn and grow in a specialty surgical environment Competitive pay based on experience Benefits package + growth opportunities A workplace that values professionalism, teamwork, and making a difference We know oral surgery isn’t for everyone—it takes confidence, attention to detail, compassion, and grit.
