Duties Assist with planting, pruning, thinning, and harvesting orchard crops using appropriate tools and machinery Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and other farm machinery safely and efficiently Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, including welding and basic mechanical troubleshooting Support animal husbandry activities by caring for farm animals, including feeding, cleaning, and handling with care Manage irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering schedules for healthy crop growth Conduct regular inspections of orchard infrastructure, including fencing, irrigation lines, and greenhouse facilities Use hand tools and power tools for various maintenance tasks around the orchard Assist with growing processes in greenhouses or nursery areas to support plant development Ensure safety protocols are followed during all operations involving heavy lifting or machinery use Support overall farm operations by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and safety standards Experience Supervising experience or leadership roles in agricultural or farm settings preferred Mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery, equipment repair, welding, and general maintenance required Hands-on experience with animal husbandry and animal handling techniques essential Familiarity with forklift operation and heavy equipment handling highly desirable Knowledge of horticulture practices, greenhouse management, irrigation systems, and growing techniques beneficial Experience working with farm tools, power tools, hand tools, and irrigation systems necessary Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to planting or harvesting schedules required Prior experience in farming or agriculture environments is advantageous but not mandatory; a strong willingness to learn is key Join us as an Orchard Team Member where your energy fuels our success!
