Orchard Manager / Orchard Specialist (Experienced Only)Location:Red Hook, NY 12571Type:Part-time or Contract (flexible for the right person)Pay:$30-$35 We are seeking an experienced orchard professional to revive and manage a small apple orchard.This is not an entry-level role.The ideal candidate already has hands-on experience restoring neglected orchards and independently running small-scale fruit production.This position is for someone who can take ownership and work without supervision.Responsibilities Assess orchard health and maintain a revival plan Pruning of mature apple trees Spraying and pest/disease management Soil and fertility management Mowing and orchard floor maintenance Harvest planning and execution Ongoing seasonal care and monitoring Requirements Proven experience managing or reviving apple orchards Strong knowledge of pruning techniques for mature trees Experience with orchard spray programs and equipment Ability to work independently and make decisions Must have own transportation Ability to perform physical outdoor work Preferred Experience with small orchards or heritage varieties Familiarity with Northeast growing conditions If you are someone who knows orchards inside and out and wants to take on a meaningful project, we'd like to hear from you.Please include a brief summary of your orchard experience when applying.Pay:$30.00 - $35.00 per hour Benefits:Employee discount Flexible schedule Experience:Orchard:5 years (Required) Language:English (Required) Work Location:In person.
