Position Summary The Organics Diversion Field Associate is a year-round, mission-driven role that sits at the heart of Reunity Resources' sustainability programs.This position is designed for someone who is energized by environmental stewardship, comfortable moving across operational contexts, and committed to supporting closed-loop organic systems from the ground up.From spring through summer, this role focuses primarily on Soil Yard operations -- producing compost and soil products, operating heavy equipment, and providing excellent customer service at the farm.As the seasons shift, the position transitions to Doorstep Program driving routes, collecting residential food scraps and engaging with community members across Santa Fe.Throughout the year, this associate will cross-train in Commercial Food Waste collection and Biodiesel operations, serving as flexible program support wherever it's needed most.This is a role for someone who thrives in a variable, outdoor environment, takes pride in doing meaningful work, and wants to grow within an organization where every task connects to something larger:building community resilience, diverting waste from landfills, and strengthening local food systems.Role Structure & Seasonal Rhythm Primary Season:March - July (Soil Yard Operator) Full-time hours (up to 40/week) with primary focus on Soil Yard operations Operates heavy equipment including front-loaders, screeners, blowers, and heat sealers Produces compost, composted mulch, and soil blends from food waste, manure, and other materials Manages customer-facing sales, payments, and invoicing at the soil yard Performs preventative maintenance and keeps accurate maintenance records Primary Season:August - February (Doorstep Driver) Collects residential food scrap buckets along established routes in a safe and timely manner Delivers clean buckets, screens for contamination, and maintains route logs Provides friendly, professional interaction with residential customers Uses smartphone-based tools for route navigation and customer check-ins Year-Round:Cross-Program Flex Support Cross-trained in Commercial Food Waste collection and Biodiesel program operations Available to fill in for Commercial Driver or Biodiesel Associate as operational needs arise Transitions fluidly between primary roles based on season, staffing, and program needs Job Type:Full-time Pay:From $19.22 per hour Expected hours:30 - 40 per week Benefits:Employee discount Paid time off Application Question(s):How many years of customer service experience do you have?
