Job Description
OverviewJoin our dynamic healthcare team as an Orthotic Fitter, where you will play a vital role in enhancing patient mobility and comfort through custom orthotic solutions.In this energetic and rewarding position, you will work closely with patients, clinicians, and suppliers to ensure precise fitting and effective use of orthotic devices.Your expertise will directly impact patients' quality of life by providing compassionate care, accurate measurements, and professional guidance throughout the fitting process.Duties Conduct comprehensive patient intake assessments to gather relevant medical history and orthotic needs Assist clinicians with the selection, measurement, and fitting of custom orthotic devices tailored to individual patient requirements Ensure proper application of aseptic techniques during device fittings to maintain a sterile environment Educate patients on proper use, care, and maintenance of their orthotic devices to promote optimal outcomes Collaborate with healthcare providers on ICD (International Classification of Diseases) coding to ensure accurate documentation for insurance and medical records Maintain detailed records of fittings, measurements, and patient interactions in compliance with privacy standards Support inventory management by ordering supplies, checking stock levels, and ensuring timely delivery of orthotic materials Requirements Proven experience in patient service or medical device fitting, in the orthotics or prosthetics fields Knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to accurately interpret clinician instructions and patient needs Familiarity with ICD coding procedures for proper documentation and billing processes Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and coordinate with healthcare teams Ability to interpret clinical instructions related to physiology and anatomy for precise device customization A proactive attitude with a passion for delivering compassionate patient care in a fast-paced environment Join us in making a meaningful difference by helping individuals regain mobility and confidence through expert orthotic fitting.We are committed to supporting your professional growth while providing a positive work environment dedicated to excellence in patient care.Pay:$24.00 - $30.00 per hour Benefits:401(k) matching Health insurance Paid time off Parental leave Work Location:In person.
