Job Summary:The Orthotics and Prosthetics Lab Technician will be responsible for the hands-on fabrication, assembly, and repair of orthotic and prosthetic devices based on specifications provided by certified clinicians.The ideal candidate should have experience in using hand tools, working with thermoplastics, carbon fiber, and laminates, and possess a strong attention to detail. LITTLE TO NO EXPERIENCE IS OKAY! WE ARE WILLING TO TRAIN! IF YOU ARE GOOD WITH YOUR HANDS AND WANT HANDS ON TRAINING DO NOT HESITATE TO APPLY!! Responsibilities:Fabricate custom orthotic and prosthetic devices according to work orders and specifications Modify molds, forms, and casts as needed Utilize tools such as grinders, sanders, routers, and ovens Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lab environment Ensure devices meet quality standards before delivery Perform adjustments and repairs to existing devices Work closely with practitioners to ensure proper fit and function Maintain inventory of lab supplies and materials Adhere to safety standards and infection control protocols Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training preferred Prior experience in an O&P lab or similar setting is strongly preferred Knowledge of orthotic and prosthetic materials, fabrication methods, and tools a plus Strong manual dexterity and craftsmanship skills Ability to follow detailed instructions and blueprints Must be open to constructive feedback Basic computer and documentation skills Team-oriented with good communication skills Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Benefits:PAY IS BASED ON EXPERIENCE!
