The OSD Specialist supports the investigation, documentation, and resolution of overage, shortage, and damage (OSD) cases across the transportation network. This hourly position emphasizes accuracy, timeliness, and effective communication with internal stakeholders and external carriers. The role plays a critical part in protecting company financial interests, supporting customer service performance, and identifying root causes that contribute to OSD incidents. Key Responsibilities OSD Case Processing & Investigation Receive, review, and process overage, shortage, and damage cases in accordance with established procedures. Collect, review, and organize required documentation, including bills of lading (BOLs), proof of delivery (PODs), photographs, invoices, and delivery records, to support OSD investigations. Assist in investigating OSD issues by validating shipment details, quantities, and product condition at both pickup and delivery. Accurately enter and maintain OSD case data within internal systems and track cases through resolution. Support timely resolution of OSD cases in alignment with internal service expectations and customer requirements.
