Job Description
Field Inspector - Fiber Construction (FTTH) Help build the future of connectivity. We're looking for a hands-on, detail-driven Field Inspector to support the deployment of our Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) network in the Youngstown region. What You'll Do As a Field Inspector, you'll play a key role in ensuring our network is built right-the first time. Conduct daily field inspections of fiber construction, including underground, aerial, and residential installations Verify proper placement of fiber, conduit, handholes, pedestals, and pole attachments Ensure all work meets Omni Fiber quality standards, safety requirements, and design specifications Inspect restoration work (landscaping, pavement, right-of-way areas) to ensure it meets local and company expectations Monitor contractor performance and validate production quantities Identify and document construction issues, safety concerns, and deviations from plans-and escalate when needed Maintain accurate field notes, redlines, staking sheets, permits, and right-of-way documentation Review construction against engineering designs and provide feedback on field adjustments Perform quality audits and follow-up inspections to confirm corrective actions Partner with contractors, project managers, and internal teams to communicate progress, risks, and updates Utilize mobile tools and reporting systems to document inspections and
