OT/SLP Support Assistant, Bay Area Friendship Circle Bay Area Friendship Circle is a nonprofit organization providing inclusive social, recreational, and enrichment programming for children, teens, and young adults with disabilities through a 1:1 buddy model with teen volunteers. We are currently hiring part-time OT/SLP Support Assistants to support our Summer Camp program. Position Details Dates: July 27–31 and August 3–7 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:15 AM–2:45 PM Location: Palo Alto Pay: Starting at $30/hour depending on experience Role Overview OT/SLP Support Assistants support participant engagement, communication, sensory regulation, transitions, adaptive participation, and overall inclusion throughout camp programming. This is an excellent opportunity for graduate students pursuing occupational therapy or speech-language pathology seeking hands-on experience. Responsibilities Support participants during recreational, social, and creative arts activities Assist with communication support, sensory regulation, transitions, and emotional regulation throughout the day Support participants with activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal care needs Support teen volunteers paired 1:1 with participants and model appropriate interaction strategies Qualifications Background or coursework in Occupational Therapy or Speech Language Pathology Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities preferred Strong communication, flexibility, and interpersonal skills Comfortable working in dynamic group environments Reliable and able to commit to the full program schedule To Apply: Contact Rachel@BayAreaFC.org for more information and to apply.
