Overview Join our dynamic team as an OTR (Over-the-Road) Dry Van Commercial Driver with a Class A CDL license! Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers equipped with manual transmissions across regional and national routes, ensuring timely deliveries of dry van freight. Load and unload freight using proper techniques, including handling specialized equipment for refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or roll-off trucks when applicable. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Route drive efficiently by planning trips ahead, adhering to schedules, and adjusting for traffic or weather conditions to meet delivery deadlines. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and freight documentation in compliance with federal regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate pickups and deliveries while providing exceptional customer service. Perform routine maintenance checks on trucks such as inspecting brakes, tires, lights, and fluid levels to ensure optimal performance throughout each trip. Experience Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record. Prior delivery driver experience preferred, especially with dry van freight or route driving. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed loads, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is a plus. Ability to load & unload freight efficiently using forklifts or other equipment when necessary. Knowledge of safety standards related to truck driving and freight handling regulations.
