Join a team where projects come to life.At Carr Hardware, we're more than a hardware store -- we're the place customers come when they want to get things done right.From backyard transformations to heavy-duty equipment needs, we help bring projects from idea to execution.We're looking for a knowledgeable, hands-on team member who thrives around tools, outdoor power equipment, and outdoor living products.Overview We are seeking a dedicated Outdoor Power Equipment & Tools Sales Associate to join our dynamic retail team.In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for customers seeking outdoor power equipment, tools, and related accessories.Your expertise will help customers select the right products to meet their needs while providing exceptional service that fosters loyalty and satisfaction.This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine product knowledge with sales skills in a fast-paced environment committed to quality and customer success.What You'll Do Greet customers promptly and professionally, establishing a welcoming shopping experience Assist customers in selecting outdoor power equipment and tools suited to their projects and skill levels Demonstrate product features, benefits, and proper usage techniques to enhance customer understanding Provide personalized recommendations based on customer needs and preferences Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems, ensuring proper documentation Maintain product displays, ensure shelves are stocked, organized, and visually appealing Educate customers on maintenance, safety procedures, and warranty options for equipment Address customer inquiries and resolve issues efficiently to ensure satisfaction Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and improve overall store performance Stay informed about new products, industry trends, and competitive offerings What We're Looking For Experience in retail sales or customer service, ideally with tools or outdoor power equipment Strong product knowledge (or hands-on familiarity) with tools, lawn & garden, or power equipment Ability to clearly explain products and guide customers through their projects A natural ability to build rapport and understand customer needs Team-oriented, reliable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Comfortable using POS systems and basic inventory tools Proactive, hands-on attitude with enthusiasm for helping customers get the job done right Preferred Experience Hardware store, landscaping, construction, or mechanical background Familiarity with brands like Stihl, Ego, Toro, or similar Small engine knowledge (a plus, not required) Why Carr Hardware?
