Provide expert counseling on nutrition topics including weight loss, tube feeding management, and dietary modifications for various medical conditions. Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate diagnostic evaluations and ensure nutrition strategies align with overall treatment plans. Offer health coaching to motivate patients towards sustainable lifestyle changes, emphasizing long-term wellness and disease prevention. Supervise or mentor junior staff or interns within the dietary department to promote best practices in patient care and documentation. Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems efficiently to document assessments, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately. Collaboration with the lead physician on nutrition related social media posts and educational discussions for patients. Skills Strong knowledge of physiology related to digestion, metabolism, and nutritional requirements across different age groups including geriatrics. Proven experience in supervising or mentoring dietetic staff or interns within a clinical setting. Skilled in diagnostic evaluation of nutritional status and implementing appropriate interventions. Extensive background in outpatient nutrition services with emphasis on weight loss programs and chronic disease management. Proficiency with EMR systems for documentation and patient tracking; experience working within dietary departments is highly desirable.
