Outside Sales Rep Shreveport, LA $35,000 - $100,000 / per year Full time Job Description The Industrial Sales Representative is responsible for developing and maintaining strong customer relationships within the oil & gas, petrochemical, and industrial manufacturing sectors. This role focuses on selling rubber products, gaskets, sealing solutions, and related industrial components. The ideal candidate is technically knowledgeable, customer-focused, and skilled at identifying solutions that meet client specifications and operational needs. Key Responsibilities: Develop and grow sales of rubber products, gaskets, and sealing solutions to oil & gas companies and other industrial clients. Build and maintain long-term relationships with purchasing teams, engineers, maintenance managers, and operations personnel. Conduct on-site customer visits to assess needs, measure applications, and recommend effective sealing and material solutions. Prepare quotes, pricing proposals, and product recommendations based on customer requirements and industry standards. Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, production, and customer service) to ensure accurate order processing and customer satisfaction. Maintain in-depth knowledge of product lines, material specifications, industry certifications, and application requirements. Identify new business opportunities through prospecting, cold calling, networking, and participation in industry events. Achieve sales targets, track activity through CRM tools, and provide regular pipeline updates to management. Stay current on market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies within the oil & gas sector. Provide exceptional service by responding promptly to customer inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring timely delivery of products. Qualifications: Previous experience in industrial sales, ideally within rubber products, gaskets, or sealing solutions. Strong understanding of oil & gas industry operations, standards, and application environments. Ability to read technical drawings, understand material specs, and communicate technical information to customers. Proven track record of achieving sales goals and developing long-term client relationships. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage a sales territory independently. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally/regionally as needed. Preferred Skills: Background in mechanical or industrial environments. Familiarity with ASME, API, or other oil & gas industry standards. Experience with CRM systems and territory management.
