About Midwest Roofing & Construction Midwest Roofing & Construction is a family-owned and operated company based in Dodgeville, Wisconsin, serving customers across Wisconsin, Illinois, and Iowa for over 25 years.Our business is built on hard work, quality craftsmanship and doing right by our customers and our team.We specialize in roofing, construction, insulation and full property transformations, from small repairs to large-scale builds.No two days look the same, and no job is too big or too small.Our team takes pride in being dependable, hands-on and solutions focused.We show up ready to work, support each other in the field, and take ownership of getting the job done right.Position Overview The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business, managing customer relationships and driving revenue growth for Midwest Roofing & Construction.This role is highly field-focused, requiring strong time management, clear communication and the ability to guide customers from initial contact through project completion.This individual serves as the primary point of contact with customers and plays a critical role in ensuring projects are accurately scoped, competitively priced and successfully executed.What Success Looks Like Consistently follows up on inbound and outbound leads with speed and professionalism Builds a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities Accurately measures and estimates roofing projects with minimal revisions Closes business at target margins while maintaining customer trust Communicates clearly with internal teams to ensure smooth project execution Establishes credibility with customers, vendors and subcontractors Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development Follow up on company-provided leads and generate new opportunities through local networking and outreach Schedule and conduct on-site customer appointments Build and maintain a strong pipeline of residential and commercial projects Present solutions clearly and confidently to customers Estimating & Project Scoping Measure roofs and assess project requirements accurately Prepare detailed estimates, proposals and contracts Negotiate revisions, changes and additions with customers Analyze budgets, costs and margins to ensure profitable project execution Customer Relationship Management Serve as the primary point of contact from initial consultation through project completion Build long-term relationships with customers and referral partners Provide updates, timelines and clear communication throughout the project lifecycle to both customers Project Coordination Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure alignment Support scheduling and progress tracking of active projects Assist in resolving issues or changes during project execution Operational & Administrative Responsibilities Maintain accurate documentation, contracts and job files in our internal systems Prepare progress reports and communicate timelines to customers and internal team members Support quality control standards and ensure customer satisfaction Purchase or coordinate materials as needed for project completion What You Bring Strong work ethic with a self-starter mentality Ability to manage time effectively across multiple active opportunities Clear communication and relationship-building skills Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail Positive attitude and team-first approach Adaptability in a fast-moving, field-based environment Preferred Experience 2years in construction, roofing, or related field Experience with estimating, sales, or project management Basic understanding of roofing/construction systems and materials Requirements Valid Driver's License (required) Ability to work in the field and travel locally as needed Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team Compensation & Benefits Competitive total compensation package based on experience Profit Sharing 401(k) with company match Health, dental and vision insurance Paid time off Pay:From $60,000.00 per year Benefits:401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Application Question(s):Do you have a valid driver's license and are you comfortable traveling locally for field-based sales appointments?
