UPMC Harrisburg is hiring a Full-Time Physician Assistant or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) to help support the Cardiac Surgery dept. The ideal candidate has a strong interest and some experience in critical care and/or cardiac surgery, and about 2 years of APP experience. Hours: 7am to 7pm and/or 7pm to 7am (12 shifts per month or 6 per pay period) Location: 111 S Front St, Harrisburg, PA 17101 - UPMC Harrisburg Hospital Position Specifics Patient Load: CTICU census of 6-10, management of cardiac surgery patients, stat consults, and ER admissions to cardiac surgery No Outpatient Call: Focus entirely on inpatient care and critical interventions Procedural Skill Utilization: Central and arterial line cannulation, ventilator management, airway management, and point-of-care ultrasound preferred Clinical Leadership: Identify and drive opportunities for innovation in care delivery and workflow improvement Support Network: Full specialty support and seamless care coordination through system-wide EPIC EMR Department Details: 19 bed ICU Upwards of 1,000 cases per year High level of autonomy Three Star STS Rating in three categories for Cardiac Surgery division See what being an Advanced Practice Provider can do for UPMC and what UPMC can do for Advanced Practice Providers - it's more than just a job!
