This is a full-time direct hire permanent position with our client.Client is seeking a Packaging Engineering Associate to support highly automated pharmaceutical and medical device packaging, assembly, and filling operations within a regulated GMP environment.This role provides hands-on exposure to packaging equipment, process improvement initiatives, and validation activities.The Packaging Engineering Associate works closely with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to troubleshoot equipment, support continuous improvement, and ensure compliant, efficient packaging processes.This position offers a structured development path toward future Packaging Engineer or Process Engineer roles. Essential Functions Packaging & Equipment Support Assist with the setup, troubleshooting, and optimization of pharmaceutical packaging equipment, including blister lines, bottle lines, cartoners, labelers, and serialization systems Support routine equipment performance monitoring and data collection, including OEE, downtime, and scrap Participate in equipment changeovers and line trials under supervision Process Improvement Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and cost reduction Assist with root cause analysis for packaging deviations, downtime, and quality issues Participate in Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen projects as assigned Documentation & Compliance Assist in the creation and revision of SOPs, work instructions, and packaging specifications Support validation activities, including IQ, OQ, and PQ documentation Help ensure packaging processes comply with cGMP, FDA, and quality standards Support deviation investigations, CAPAs, and change control documentation Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams Support packaging trials for new products, materials, or suppliers Assist with technical evaluations of packaging components and equipment Partner with equipment vendors to develop strong on-site technical expertise Safety & Quality Follow all client safety policies and promote a strong safety culture on the production floor Ensure engineering activities align with quality systems and data integrity requirements Participate in required training activities Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Electrical, or related field) Internship or co-op experience in manufacturing or packaging preferred 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or regulated environment preferred Basic understanding of manufacturing or packaging processes Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and technical documentation Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Strong communication and teamwork skills Willingness to learn GMPs, validation, and regulatory requirements Job Type:Full-time Pay:$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Work Location:In person.
