Job Description
Shift:Primarily 11:00 pm - 7:30 am / 11:59pm - 8:30 am, availability required for overtime (as requested), some holidays, weekends, and occasionally differing shifts.Starting Pay:$26.30 per hour Benefits:Permanent, fulltime position benefits include medical, dental, and vision on the first of the month following 60 days of employment.Upon qualifying, eligible for paid vacation, 10 paid holidays, jury duty, bereavement leave, 401k matching, and Life Insurance.Employee Assistance Program and paid sick leave are available from the start of employment.Job Responsibilities Follow all established safety rules and practices including lock-out/tag-out procedures, chemical applications, personal protective equipment (PPE), etc.Work safely and set an example of safe working habits in all job duties per NFFC standards Perform established Sanitation tasks and perform duties in accordance with established Sanitation Departmental standards and USDA standards.Use of high-pressure hoses and concentrated cleaning solutions (including chlorine and bleach) to sanitize plant Use of ladders up to 10 feet with corresponding fall protection (harness) for sanitation effort as necessary Establish a strong attendance record with NFFC All other duties as assigned Job Qualifications Ability to lift, push, pull up to 75 pounds while accomplishing repetitive tasks including but not limited to reaching, bending, scrubbing, and sanitizing Ability to pass a lock out/tag out training course Ability to pass the NFFC lift truck certification Ability to work in an extreme environment including a cold and wet environment Pass a pre-employment drug screen Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the functions of this job:The noise level in the work environment can exceed 85 dB.Will regularly work near moving parts.Will frequently be exposed to refrigerated cold room.May be occasionally work around fumes or airborne particles, chemicals, and vibration.Will work around forklift traffic.Will work in a wet environment.Physical Requirements Strength- Lift 100 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 100 pounds.Stand/Walk- Stand and walk a maximum of 3 hours prior to each break period.Climb/Balance- Ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding and the alike using the feet and legs and/or hands and arms.Maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on a narrow or slippery surface.Reach- Extend both hands and arms in any direction.Handle- Seize, hold, grasp, turn or otherwise work with the hands.See- Obtain impressions through the eyes of the shape, size, distance, motion, color, or other characteristic of objects.Twist and Turn- Able to twist/turn trunk of body from side to side.Stoop- Bend the body downward and forward by bending the spine at the waist.Kneel- Bend the legs at the knees to come to rest on the knee or knees.Crouch- Bend the body downward and forward bending the spine and legs.To Apply All interested parties need to submit a resume to the Human Resource Department at National Frozen Foods Corporation on 188 Sturdevant Road, Chehalis, Washington or via che.hr@nffc.com.For questions please call (360)748-0015.National Frozen Foods Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, protected veteran status, disability status or any other characteristic protected by law..
