Job Description
Work Schedule: F-Sun, 6 AM - 6:30 PM *This schedule reflects current business demand and is subject to change at any time. If hired, you will be required to complete your training courses before coming to the shop floor. First day of Orientation would be from 9 am -4:30pm After first day, you will be able to come in at 6 am to continue your online training. Once on the shop floor, you will spend the next 3 weeks of training on day shift with the day shift paint assistants. When determined, you will be able to start your normal shift Paint Assistants support the painting operations for aircraft components and structures, ensuring all surfaces are properly prepared and finished to meet industry standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment and a strong commitment to quality and safety. Essential Functions To accomplish this job, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as needed. Mix paints, primers, and other coatings according to specifications and manufacturer's instructions. Perform test such as viscosity on mixed paints. Print and maintain pot life stickers for each paint mixed. Maintain and clean painting tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure a safe and efficient workspace. Ensure safety procedures are followed at all times. Assist in moving and arranging materials and equipment. Conduct quality checks on painted surfaces to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.
