Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Painter/Laborer, where you will play a vital role in transforming spaces through expert painting and skilled labor. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential renovations to commercial and industrial painting jobs. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Execute residential, commercial, and industrial painting projects using hand tools, power tools, airless paint sprayers, and scaffolding. Read blueprints and schematics to accurately measure and plan painting layouts, including trim carpentry and fixture installation. Perform renovation work such as framing, drywall installation, stucco application, masonry repairs, and restoration tasks. Use construction estimating skills to assess project scope and materials needed while maintaining safety protocols on construction sites. Apply specialty coatings like industrial paint or masonry finishes; perform concrete finishing and masonry repairs as required. Assist with maintenance tasks around construction sites or facilities, including welding, handyman repairs, and general upkeep. Qualifications Proven experience in construction painting or related fields such as renovation or remodeling projects. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, welding equipment, and airless paint spraying systems. Knowledge of color theory and surface preparation techniques for residential or commercial settings. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately. Basic math skills for measurements and estimations; experience with construction estimating is a plus. Strong understanding of safety procedures on construction sites; previous construction site experience preferred. Additional skills such as carpentry (trim framing), plastering, caulking, stucco application, fixture installation, or masonry are highly desirable.
