About the Role As a growing law firm, Colburn Law Accident and Lawyers seeks an experienced Paralegal to support our pre-litigation and litigation teams. This role is integral to the success of our cases and involves managing files from intake through settlement, including trial preparation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing a high-volume caseload with minimal supervision. This is a great opportunity for a skilled paralegal who enjoys ownership of their work and collaborating closely with attorneys on case strategy. Key Responsibilities Case Management Manage personal injury cases from initial intake through settlement or trial Maintain organized and up-to-date case files and documentation Track and manage deadlines, court dates, depositions, and key case milestones Client & Case Communication Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates and guidance Serve as a point of contact between clients, attorneys, and external parties Coordinate with courts, opposing counsel, medical providers, and agencies Legal Support Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery, and demand packages Conduct document review and manage e-discovery processes Summarize medical records and prepare case chronologies Assist attorneys in developing case strategy and next steps Trial Preparation Prepare exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders Coordinate witnesses and logistics for hearings and trial Assist with jury instructions and trial presentation materials Administrative & Financial Oversight Manage electronic filing and service of legal documents Monitor case costs and assist with subrogation and lien resolution Maintain accurate calendaring and case management systems Qualifications Required: Minimum of 3 years of plaintiff personal injury experience Strong understanding of court rules and procedures (local, state, federal) Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities Preferred: Experience handling high-volume caseloads independently Key Traits: Detail-oriented and highly organized Professional and composed under pressure Proactive, dependable, and solutions-focused
