Job Description
Paralegal Location: El Segundo, CA (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite) Duration: Contract (Potential for extension/full-time) Role Overview We’re looking for a seasoned Paralegal specializing in Labor & Employment and Immigration to support a high-performing legal team. This role operates at the intersection of compliance, litigation, and corporate legal operations—ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and brings depth (not breadth) in employment-based immigration and employment law. Key Responsibilities Immigration & Compliance Track and manage immigration petitions (e.g., USCIS filings) Monitor case lifecycle and ensure timely documentation submissions Litigation & Legal Operations Provide end-to-end litigation support (case files, evidence, coordination) Draft responses to subpoenas and employment record requests Manage document preservation processes and systems Employment Law Support Assist with policies, handbooks, agreements, and internal legal frameworks Support matters related to wage/hour, leaves, accommodations, and workplace issues Research & Stakeholder Management Conduct legal research across employment and immigration topics Partner with outside counsel (invoices, budgets, coordination) Required Qualifications 5+ years of Paralegal experience (corporate/in-house preferred) Strong expertise in U.S. employment-based immigration Proven experience in labor & employment law Ability to manage multiple cases in a high-volume environment Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills High level of discretion and professionalism Preferred Qualifications Experience with eDiscovery Exposure to project or change management initiatives Ideal Candidate Profile (Manager Insights) Proactive, curious, and ownership-driven Not a generalist— deep specialization in immigration + employment law Confident communicator on legal topics (not entry-level) Strong prioritization and decision-making capability Clear articulation of career progression and employment gaps
