Paralegal Location: Castle Rock, Colorado Job Type: Full-time, in person Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Compensation: $45,000 to $60,000 per year, depending on experience Positions Available: 2 Application Deadline: Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until the positions are filled. About Our Firm Rick Dalton Law Firm, LLC is a family-owned law firm located in Castle Rock, Colorado. Our practice focuses primarily on lemon law, breach of warranty, consumer protection, and related product defect matters. We represent consumers in claims involving defective vehicles, recreational vehicles, and other warranted products. Our work is document-intensive and litigation-oriented. Many of our cases involve repair records, warranty materials, correspondence, timelines, photographs, expert or inspection issues, and detailed client histories. We are looking for paralegals who can take ownership of files, communicate professionally with clients, and help move cases forward in an organized and efficient manner. Position Overview We are seeking two full-time paralegals to join our Castle Rock office. This is a fully in-person position. The paralegal will work directly with the attorney and will assist with case management, client communication, document organization, legal drafting, court filings, calendaring, and other litigation-support tasks. This position is well suited for someone with prior law office experience who is organized, dependable, comfortable on the phone, and interested in taking on meaningful responsibility while growing with a small, focused law firm. Training will be provided on firm-specific procedures and systems. Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Managing assigned case files from intake through pre-negotiation, litigation preparation, and other case stages as needed Communicating regularly with clients by phone, email, and written correspondence Making and receiving calls with clients, attorneys, opposing parties, representatives, vendors, courts, agencies, and other involved parties Creating, maintaining, organizing, and updating physical and digital case files Reviewing and organizing repair records, warranty documents, contracts, correspondence, photographs, invoices, and related evidence Preparing case chronologies, document summaries, internal case notes, and status updates Drafting lawsuits, complaints, motions, discovery, claims, demand letters, notices, correspondence, and other legal documents Assisting with court filings, agency filings, service documents, and related submissions Managing outgoing correspondence, mailings, certified mail, and document transmission Coordinating inspections, repairs, documentation, vendor involvement, and related case needs Calendaring and tracking court dates, appointments, reminders, internal deadlines, and attorney-identified legal deadlines, including statutes of limitation Maintaining the attorney’s calendar and helping keep deadlines and priorities organized Providing regular updates to the attorney regarding case status, outstanding tasks, client issues, and upcoming deadlines Managing client expectations and providing timely, professional case updates Using Clio, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, and other law office software Helping keep the attorney’s files, calendar, desk, and workflow organized Performing other paralegal, administrative, and case-management tasks as needed Required Qualifications Candidates must have Prior experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, litigation assistant, case manager, or similar law office role Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Strong writing, proofreading, and document-formatting skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Comfort making and receiving phone calls throughout the day Ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and priorities at the same time Ability to work independently while following attorney direction and firm procedures Professional judgment when communicating with clients, opposing parties, representatives, vendors, courts, and agencies Strong computer skills and comfort working with digital files Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat Ability to maintain confidentiality Reliability, punctuality, and willingness to work fully in person Preferred Qualifications Preferred but not required
