Job Description
Park Ambassador Under the direction of The Project Manager (PM), the Park Ambassador will act as a "Liaison" for their assigned SDSU Mission Valley site, becoming the eyes and ears for the PM, site contractors, guests using the park space and SDSU ownership. The Park Ambassador will actively patrol the assigned SDSU Mission Valley Campus on foot and by bike, responding to service requests via phone, in person, or through the DSDP USS mobile app. Park Ambassadors will work directly with emergency response personnel, service providers, and local law enforcement daily. Park Ambassadors will also actively engage with the community in a positive and productive manner, providing top-quality customer service to all visitors and members. Essential Job Functions & Duties Conduct field inspections of the SDSU Mission Valley Campus. Serve as the frontline for community service requests via phone, text, and email. Schedule and dispatch work orders to maintenance and security personnel. Set daily benchmarks and performance expectations for maintenance and security personnel. Daily inspections of maintenance and security equipment prior to deployment. Perform quality assurance duties, including proactive walking inspections of completed areas. Compile daily statistics, emailing the COO and ED/SVP with required shift stats and geographic areas covered. Enforce the policies and procedures of the Project Area. Interact with customers, police officers, and emergency personnel. Interact with City staff, reporting hazardous/substandard conditions. City reports will be documented in real-time and given to PM. Park Ambassador must Interact with the transient population and proactively communicate with necessary providers. Park Ambassador will work with PM to understand geographic areas with unsheltered homeless individuals and conduct quarterly training on how to resp
