Job Description
Part-Time Operations, Customer Experience & Events Assistant Red Wagon Goats | Stone Mountain / Atlanta, GA Part-Time: 5–15 hours/week to start, with room to grow Pay: $18–$20/hour, depending on experience Red Wagon Goats is looking for a friendly, organized, animal-loving, highly adaptable team member to support our growing goat rental, vegetation management, and goat event business. Our rentals for land clearing are our bread and butter, but we are looking to expand on our popular goat yoga, educational, team building and petting zoo experiences. This is a truly hybrid role for someone who enjoys wearing a lot of hats. The right person will be equally comfortable answering customer emails, updating spreadsheets, helping organize bookings, educating potential clients, making sales calls, assisting with goat yoga or school events, and occasionally getting outside to help move goats, set up fencing, or visit a property before a job begins. This is a fun, unusual, and highly rewarding job — but it also requires professionalism, follow-through, physical capability, and a willingness to learn the many moving parts of a unique animal-based business. About Red Wagon Goats Red Wagon Goats provides goat rental and targeted grazing services throughout the Atlanta area, helping property owners manage invasive plants, overgrowth, and vegetation in a natural and memorable way. We also host goat-centered events including goat yoga, educational programs, environmental events, school and university visits, corporate team-building activities, and private events. We are a small, growing business, so this role is ideal for someone who likes variety, takes initiative, and wants to help build systems while also being part of a hands-on, joyful, animal-centered company. Primary Responsibilities: Administrative & Customer Experience Support Your main responsibility will be helping the owner manage the customer journey from first inquiry to completed job. This may include: Responding to customer emails with a warm, professional, and helpful tone Helping organize estimates, bookings, invoices, and follow-ups Tracking leads, customer status, and job progress in Google Sheets and/or CRM tools Managing calendar details and scheduling support Helping customers understand our services, process, pricing, and expectations Supporting estimate and invoice creation Keeping customer information organized and up to date Helping improve internal systems, workflows, and communication Sales, Marketing & Outreach We are looking for someone comfortable talking to people and helping grow the business. Responsibilities may include: Following up with leads and past customers Making outreach calls or emails to potential event partners, schools, companies, venues, HOAs, and property owners Helping educate potential customers about goat grazing and goat events Supporting marketing ideas, local partnerships, and community outreach Assisting with social media, email marketing, or promotional efforts as needed Representing Red Wagon Goats with a friendly, upbeat, and professional voice Sales experience is strongly preferred, but the most important thing is that you are warm, confident, curious, and comfortable communicating with many different kinds of people. Secondary Responsibilities: Goat Rental & Field Support While this is primarily an administrative and customer experience role, we'd love to find someone who is willing and able to understand the field side of the business. You may occasionally help with: Covering field shifts when another team member is unavailable Setting up or taking down temporary electric fencing Moving goats safely between areas Helping load, unload, or transport supplies Assisting with basic medical goat care Observing job sites to better understand estimates and customer needs Working outdoors in various weather conditions This role does require good physical ability. You should be comfortable walking uneven terrain, lifting supplies, being outdoors, and working around livestock. Getting occasional work out in the field will help you get intimately familiar with the nature of the work and help make accurate estimates. Site Visits & Estimates As you learn the business, you may help with or eventually run site visits for potential goat rental jobs. This may include: Visiting properties before a job begins Taking photos and notes Evaluating terrain, access points, fencing needs, hazards, and vegetation Communicating findings clearl
