Job Title: Associate Location: Bark, Meow, ‘N Beyond 11325 Pellicano Dr, El Paso, Texas, 79936 Employment Type: Part-Time Job Overview: As an associate at Bark, Meow, 'N Beyond, you play a vital role in creating a welcoming, knowledgeable, and pet-friendly shopping experience for our customers. You’ll assist pet parents with product recommendations, support daily store operations, and help maintain a clean and organized environment. This role requires a passion for animals, strong customer service skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail setting. Associates are expected to uphold the company’s mission and core values by providing exceptional service, demonstrating care for pets and their owners, and fostering a positive, community-driven atmosphere in the store. Key Responsibilities Greet customers and their pets warmly, providing knowledgeable assistance with products, services, and general pet care. Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system for purchases, returns, and gift cards. Stock shelves, rotate inventory, and ensure displays are clean, organized, and well-presented. Assist with setting up grooming appointments and directing customers to grooming intake staff. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation across all areas of the store, including pet-friendly zones. Educate customers on new arrivals, seasonal promotions, and loyalty programs. Handle customer questions, concerns, or product returns with professionalism and empathy. Support opening and closing procedures, including cleaning tasks. Represent and promote the company’s mission of delivering high-quality pet care products and services in a friendly, inclusive environment. Assists and works in various areas throughout the store (including services) as required. Other duties may be assigned. Responsible for taking immediate action when a sick/injured pet is identified in the store. Actively engage in upselling and suggestive selling to increase average transaction value and ensure customers leave with the best solutions for their pets’ needs. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) Comfort working around animals of various sizes and temperaments Basic math and computer skills for handling transactions and inventory systems. Ability to lift up to 40lbs and be on your feet for extended periods.
