As our studio continues to grow, we are looking for passionate and experienced professionals to join our team. Role Description We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Jazz & Contemporary competition dance instructor to join our growing program: Part-time position (8+ hours/week) Local candidates only (San Diego/Chula Vista area) Teach Jazz and Contemporary technique classes Assist with competition routine cleaning Work with novice to elite-level dancers ages 8–18 Full season commitment required (August 2026 – June 2027) Requirements Competition dance teaching experience is required Minimum 5 years of teaching experience Strong technical training and classroom management skills Ability to motivate and work with dancers of various levels and age groups Compensation This position is a part-time, contract position with pay rates ranging from $40 to $55/hour , depending on experience and qualifications. Avida believes in recognition and reward, and bonuses are available throughout the season. Teaching Hours Wednesday 6-10PM, Saturday 9AM-1PM Additional private rehearsal hours will also be available and offered throughout the competition season.
