Part Time Continuing Education Instructor - EKG Technician Wharton County Junior College Salary: $30.00 Hourly Job Type: Faculty Part Time Job Number: 2604 F 025 Location: Multiple Locations in WCJC Service Area, TX Department: Vocational Instruction's Area Closing: General Description Day and evening position available at WCJC Richmond campus, WCJC Sugar Land campus and off-site at the Northside Education Center in El Campo. Pay for this position is $30.00 per hour. The responsibility of a Continuing Education (CE) Instructor is to provide the most effective instruction possible in his/her discipline. Supervision is received from appropriate supervisor. The CE Instructor works to ensure that his/her instruction is meeting the educational needs of all students. CE Instructors are hired in a part-time capacity, contingent upon the needs of the department. Classes are offered during daytime, evenings, and weekends as well as some College holidays. Classes are offered at various times and locations during the academic year as well as at various campuses and offsite locations. Requirements This position requires an Associate's Degree (in any discipline), 36 months of work experience, an unencumbered Texas Paramedic License or Texas Paramedic Certification, and a current Texas Instructor Certification for EMS; OR a minimum of three (3) years current work experience as an EKG Technician in the required fields of technique or minimum of one (1) year current work experience in the required fields of technique and an EKG Technician certification; OR currently licensed as a vocational nurse or licensed as a registered nurse. A criminal background check is required.
